Chakra Immersion Workshops
A deep dive into the chakras - discover a template to transform your wellbeing.
I’m excited to be teaching this series of extended sessions on the chakras with fellow yoga teacher, Annet Richard-Binns, at the OrangeYoga studio in Cheltenham.
What is a chakra? How can knowledge of the chakra system enhance our yoga practice? And how can we use the chakra system to become happier, healthier and more vibrant in our bodies and in our lives?
Join Annet and Laura to explore the fascinating, mysterious and controversial chakra system in an accessible and engaging way. You can drop in to one workshop, or attend the full series for a complete overview of the 7 chakra system.
There is conflict and conjecture surrounding the interpretation of the chakras, so these sessions will include theory but be primarily experiential so that all attendees will get the opportunity for self-reflection and to feel what does (and doesn’t!) resonate for themselves. Expect to learn, feel, question and hopefully have some fun along the way!
In this first workshop on the Root Chakra you will explore how to deepen your sense of grounding and trust.
Each workshop will include:
* Background on the chakra in focus, including a discussion of both ancient and modern interpretations of the chakras and their suggested links with anatomy, psychology and a wide range of other associations.
* Asana (postures).
* Pranayama (breathing practices).
* Mudra (hand gestures).
* Mantra (repeated words to aid concentration) and affirmations.
* Meditation.
* The opportunity for self-reflection and discussion.
